Michal Golan
Michal Golan is an Israeli born artist who now lives and works in New York City. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland and she holds a masters degree from New York University in Studio Art.
In her studio/workshop Michal designs and produces hand worked jewelry which join antique feel with contemporary construction. Byzantine and Victorian jewelry and the mosaics of Middle Eastern art inspire Michal's designs - the generous use of gemstones and pearls and the ornately dense use of color. Her work is found in many museum gift shops around the country, including the Jewish Museum in New York.
