While we found this magnificent, large piece of costume jewelry in Jerusalem, we do not know from where it came; our best guess is Iran. It is more than 40 years old and clearly handmade with white metal, wax (the large red decorations) and a few stones. The dangles may jingle slightly as the wearer moves. This type of jewelry is a conversation piece and while relatively common at one time, is almost impossible to find now.
