Hermann Struck travelled to the U.S. in 1912, 1913, 1928. Based on the experiences of his first or second trip, Struck produced this image entitled, Wolkenstratzer von Brooklyn aus New York (New York Skyscrapers from Brooklyn) (Rusel R 358L) lithograph on laid paper. The various ships and boats of the early 20th C. are seen on the East river with the Woolworth building towering over the other skyscrapers in the background. The print is in very good condition with a finger print, presumably from the printer, on the left margin (not seen on the image here); signed Hermann Struck and numbered 33/150 in pencil on the lower left margin; the title is also in pencil on the rear.
