Milton Glaser designed this silk screen poster as an advertisement for and/or memento of the 25th Newport Jazz Festival (1954-1978). The central image is the bust of a trombone player inside the figure of a woman singer. The background evokes the festival venue – a bare description of a countryside with the framing device of the curtain and tassels of a stage. Glaser’s signature is in the print. On the lower right corner is a poster number (215/10,000) in pencil next to a blind stamp for ProCreations indicating the publisher of this limited edition. The poster is in excellent condition with no apparent flaws. It will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
