In Israel each year during Succot, there is a march to fulfill the Biblical requirement of going up to Jerusalem for the Festivals. This poster announces the 1978 one day event on October 19, and gives directions on how to participate in the march. Two soldiers and two civilians are briskly walking (apparently old geezers aren’t being encouraged). Behind them are indicated the menorah outside the Knesset Building in yellow and the Tower of David in gray. Below the marchers is the phrase, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.” The poster, backed onto acid-free linen, has small pinholes along the upper edge; the remains of two creases, made presumably when the poster was originally mailed; and slight time staining along the edges.
